The Ultimate Grilled Brat

Ingredients

  • 1 cup chopped roasted red bell peppers
  • 2 tbsp. diced red onion
  • 2 tbsp. Schnucks olive oil, divided
  • 1 tsp. red wine vinegar
  • 1/2 cup chopped red cabbage
  • 1 tsp. lemon juice
  • 6 Schnucks beer bratwursts
  • 6 brat buns

Instructions

  1. Preheat an outdoor grill to medium (350–375 degrees). In a large bowl, stir together bell pepper, onion, 1 tablespoon oil and the red wine vinegar. Season with salt and black pepper, if desired.
  2. In another bowl, toss together red cabbage, lemon juice and remaining oil. If desired, season with salt.
  3. Grill brats, turning occasionally, until cooked through, 12–15 minutes. Transfer to buns and top with bell pepper and red cabbage mixtures.
