Strawberry, Basil, Mozzarella Skewers

These skewers are perfect for a special occasion or dinner for two.

Strawberry, Basil, Mozzarella Skewers

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tbsp. packed brown sugar
  • 24 fresh mozzarella bocconcini
  • 24 basil leaves
  • 24 strawberries. hulled
  • 12 wooden skewers

Instructions

  1. In small saucepan, heat vinegar and sugar to a boil over medium heat; reduce heat to medium-low and cook 15 minutes or until reduced by half. Makes about 1/4 cup.
  2. Alternately thread 2 of each mozzarella, basil and strawberries onto each skewer. Arrange on serving platter; drizzle with balsamic reduction.
