Grilled Monte Cristo-Style Donuts With Fried Egg

Ingredients
- 2 tbsp. Schnucks butter, softened and divided
- 4 Schnucks glazed donuts, halved horizontally
- 8 slices black forest ham
- 8 slices Schnucks Swiss cheese
- 4 large Schnucks eggs
- powdered sugar, for garnish
- fresh mixed berries, for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat a stovetop grill pan over medium.
- Lightly spread butter all over donuts. Starting with the bottom halves of donuts, add alternating slices of ham and Swiss cheese, then repeat with a second layer of ham and cheese. Finish with the remaining top halves of donuts. Transfer to grill pan and cook until cheese has melted, 2–3 minutes per side.
- Meanwhile, in a non-stick skillet, cook eggs to desired doneness. Carefully remove donut tops and gently transfer an egg to each sandwich. Return tops. Transfer to a serving platter and serve dusted with powdered sugar and scattered with berries.
