Apple Crisp With Oat-Almond Topping

Warm up your evening with this sweet treat! Tender Honeycrisp apples are baked under a perfectly crunchy oat, almond and sourdough topping.

Ingredients

  • 4 medium Honeycrisp apples, peeled, cored and diced
  • 2 tbsp. Culinaria pure maple syrup, divided
  • 1 tbsp. fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp. Food Club corn starch
  • 3 tsp. Schnucks cinnamon, divided
  • 1 cup Schnucks old-fashioned oats
  • 1 cup bite-size pieces Schnucks sourdough bread
  • 1/2 cup Schnucks chopped almonds
  • 2 tbsp. Schnucks brown sugar, packed
  • 2 tbsp. Schnucks butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup Schnucks nonfat plain Greek yogurt, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Coat an 8-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
  2. In a large bowl, toss together apples, 1 tablespoon maple syrup, almonds, the lemon juice, cornstarch and 1 teaspoon cinnamon until evenly coated. Transfer to prepared baking dish.
  3. In same bowl, stir together oats, bread, almonds, brown sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon. Stir in melted butter and remaining maple syrup until evenly moistened. Sprinkle evenly over apples.
  4. Bake until apples are tender and topping is golden brown, 30–35 minutes. Let cool 10 minutes before serving topped with yogurt and 1 teaspoon cinnamon, if desired.
