Turtle Terrine

Ingredients

  • 15 chocolate sandwich cookies
  • 3 tbsp. butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 (1.55 oz.) pkg. Hershey's milk chocolate bar, chopped
  • 1 (8 oz.) tub whipped topping, thawed if frozen
  • 3 cups Schnucks chocolate ice cream, softened
  • 3 cups Schnucks homemade vanilla ice cream, softened

Instructions

  1. In a blender or food processor, pulse cookies until finely ground. Add butter and pulse until combined.
  2. Line a loaf pan with two layers of plastic wrap. Sprinkle pecans and chopped chocolate into pan, then spread with whipped topping. Spread with chocolate ice cream, then vanilla ice cream, then cookie mixture.
  3. Freeze, tightly covered, at least five hours or overnight. Turn out onto a plate and slice to serve.

Hershey's Milk Chocolate, made with fresh milk, adds to the creamy, dreamy flavor of this terrine.
