Sweet-and-Sour Braised Red Cabbage

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp. Schnucks butter
  • 1 small yellow onion, thinly sliced (about 3/4 cup)
  • 1 small red cabbage, thinly sliced (about 6 cups)
  • 1/2 cup Schnucks vegetable stock
  • 1/4 cup Schnucks apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tbsp. Schnucks honey

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Stir in onion; cook until soft, 3–4 minutes. Stir in cabbage; cook until beginning to wilt, about five minutes. Stir in stock, cider vinegar and honey. Season with salt and pepper, if desired.
  2. Reduce heat to low. Cook, covered and stirring occasionally, 15–20 minutes. Uncover and continue cooking until slightly thickened, 2–3 minutes more. Serve immediately.
