Sourdough BLT
The tangy flavor of sourdough bread adds a delicious twist to the classic BLT, making for a satisfying lunch or casual supper.

Ingredients
- 2 slices slices sourdough bread
- 2 slices Schnucks applewood smoked bacon
- 4 leaves romaine lettuce
- 2 slices heirloom tomatoes
- 1 1/2 tbsp. Schnucks mayonnaise
Instructions
- On a cutting board, thickly slice tomatoes with a serrated knife and, if desired, season with salt and pepper.
- In a large, heavy-bottom skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Working in batches as needed, arrange bread in skillet and toast 1 side only until golden brown, 5–8 minutes. Transfer to a cutting board.
- Spread untoasted sides with mayo. Top 4 slices with lettuce, 2–3 slices tomato and 3–4 slices bacon. Top with remaining bread, mayo sides down. Cut sandwiches in half and serve immediately.
