Skillet Pork Chops and Gnocchi
This easy dish features satisfying gnocchi, hearty pork chops, zesty lemon and fresh apples. Cook each ingredient separately so your family can mix and match, choosing the ingredients they like best to complete their own plate.

Ingredients
- 2 (17.5 oz.) pkgs. gnocchi
- 4 tbsp. olive oil
- 4 bone-in pork chops
- 4 tbsp. unsalted butter, divided
- 2 medium Honeycrisp apples, chopped
- 2 large shallots, diced
- 6 fresh sage leaves, thinly sliced
- 1 tsp. lemon zest, for garnish
Instructions
- Cook gnocchi according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
- Meanwhile, heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high. Add pork chops; cook until internal temperature reaches 145 degrees, about 3 minutes per side. Transfer to a platter and, if desired, season with salt and pepper.
- Drain skillet and reduce heat to medium. Stir in 2 tablespoon butter, apple and shallot; cook until fork-tender, 2–4 minutes. Set aside. Add remaining butter and gnocchi to skillet; cook, stirring occasionally, until golden brown, about 5–8 minutes. Stir in sage.
- Serve pork chops, apple mixture and gnocchi separately or stir in pork chops and apple mixture to gnocchi if serving combined. Garnish with lemon zest.
