PB & J Stuffed French Toast
French toast is better when it’s stuffed with peanut butter and jelly.

Ingredients
- 2 Schnucks large eggs
- 1/4 cup Schnucks vitamin D whole milk or whipping cream
- 1/2 tsp. Schnucks vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp. McCormick® ground cinnamon
- salt, to taste
- 4 slices Texas toast or whole grain bread
- 3 tbsp. preferred jelly
- 3 tbsp. creamy or crunchy peanut butter
- 1 tbsp. Schnucks unsalted butter
- 1/4 cup Culinaria pure maple syrup
- Schnucks powdered sugar, for dusting (optional)
Instructions
- In shallow dish, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla, cinnamon and salt.
- Evenly spread 2 slices bread with jelly; evenly spread remaining 2 slices bread with peanut butter. Press jelly and peanut butter sides of bread together to make 2 sandwiches.
- Dip both sides of sandwiches into egg mixture.
- Heat griddle or large skillet over medium heat; add butter and melt. Add sandwiches and cook 5 minutes or until golden brown, turning once.
- Serve dusted with powdered sugar, if desired, and syrup.
