OREO Snowball Coconut Cookie Balls

These sweet little balls of chocolate and coconut are such an easy and delicious treat that you'll want to wrap a tin or two to share with friends.

OREO Snowball Coconut Cookie Balls

Ingredients

  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
  • 36 OREO Cookies, finely crushed
  • 1 tsp. coconut extract
  • 4 (4 oz.) pkgs. white baking chocolate, melted
  • 3 cups sweetened flaked coconut

Instructions

  1. Mix cream cheese, cookie crumbs and coconut extract until blended.
  2. Shape into 48 (1-inch) balls. Place in single layer on wax paper-covered rimmed baking sheet.
  3. Refrigerate 30 minutes.
  4. Dip cookie balls, one at a time, in melted chocolate, then in coconut, turning to evenly coat each ball with chocolate before coating with coconut.
  5. Refrigerate 1 hour or until chocolate is firm.

How to Store

Store in airtight container in refrigerator up to 1 week before serving.


Variation

Substitute vanilla extract for the coconut extract and/or substitute semi-sweet baking chocolate for the white chocolate.
