Mummy Fruit Pastries
A fun and spooky treat perfect for Halloween, these pastries feature a sweet fruit filling wrapped in a flaky crust to look like a mummy. They’re also nut-free, making them a great treat to bring to school events!

Ingredients
- 1/2 (15 oz.) refrigerated Schnucks ready-to-bake pie crusts
- 5 tbsp. Schnucks strawberry or apricot preserve
- 1 large Schnucks egg, beaten
- 12 candy eyes
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Line a sheet pan with parchment paper.
- On a lightly floured surface, roll out dough and cut out 6 (2x4-inch) rectangles. Cut remaining dough into 1/4-inch-thick strips for “bandages.”
- Dollop about 1 teaspoon of preserves onto each rectangle’s center and, leaving space for candy eyes, crisscross with dough strips to form “mummies.” Brush with beaten egg.
- Bake until golden brown, 10–15 minutes. Let cool slightly before adding candy eyes. Serve at room temperature.
