Loaded Hash-Brown Patties

Ingredients

  • 4 frozen hash-brown patties
  • 1/2 cup Schnucks reduced-fat finely shredded mild cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup bacon, cooked & crumbled
  • 1/4 cup Schnucks light sour cream
  • 1 tbsp. chopped fresh chives, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Arrange patties on a parchment paper–lined sheet pan. Bake until golden and crisp, 8–10 minutes per side.
  2. Top patties with cheese and return to oven until cheese is melted. Finish with bacon, a dollop of sour cream and a sprinkle of chives. Serve immediately.

Chef tip: Change up the recipe to suit your budget and preferences:

  • Give it a seafood twist by swapping sour cream for whipped cream cheese, bacon for smoked salmon, cheddar cheese for capers and chives for shallot. Top it with fresh dill to complete the flavor profile!
  • Make the seafood variation more affordable by swapping salmon for sautéed mushrooms with paprika.
