Reach for the Stars Sandwich


  • 2 slices wheat bread
  • 1 slice white bread
  • 2 oz. sliced ham
  • 1 slice Colby-Jack cheese
  • 1 piece leaf lettuce
  • 1 tbsp. mayonnaise


  1. Using a small star-shaped cookie cutter, cut a star shape out of one of the whole wheat bread slices. Using a slightly larger star-shaped cookie cutter, cut a star shape out of the white bread slice.
  2. Place the larger star shape over the whole wheat bread star-shaped cut-out. Top with ham, cheese and leaf lettuce. Spread mayonnaise on the remaining wheat bread slice and place atop the lettuce, mayonnaise-side down. Flip sandwich over and serve.
  3. Reserve remaining white bread and wheat bread cut-out for another use.
