Ground Beef Grilled Cheese

A savory twist on a classic, this updated classic features seasoned ground beef, melty cheese, creamy sauce and toasty bread. It’s a comforting and hearty sandwich perfect for a quick and satisfying meal.

Ground Beef Grilled Cheese

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. Schnucks 80%-lean ground beef
  • 1/4 cup Schnucks diced green chiles
  • 1 tbsp. Schnucks Steak & Chop 30-Minute Marinade
  • 6 tbsp. Cluck Cluck Sauce (see notes)
  • 12 slices Schnucks wheat sandwich bread
  • 12 slices Schnucks American cheese

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook ground beef, stirring to break
  2. up lumps, until browned, 5–8 minutes. Drain and return to heat. Stir in green chiles and Steak & Chop seasoning until combined, about 1 minute. Remove from heat.
  3. Preheat an outdoor grill to medium-high. Spread Cluck Cluck Sauce on 6 slices of bread (about 1 tablespoon per slice). Top remaining 6 bread slices with cheese, then beef mixture, then sauced bread slices.
  4. Grill, flipping once, until bread is golden and cheese is melted, 3–5 minutes. Cut into halves and serve immediately.
