Total Store Remodel Underway at Schnucks’ Cahokia, Illinois Location

Updates throughout the store to include new décor, flooring, shelving and refrigeration cases

CAHOKIA, Ill., June 20, 2023 – Starting this week, work begins to bring customers of Schnucks Cahokia, located at 1615 Camp Jackson Road in Cahokia, Illinois (62206), a refreshed and remodeled store.

Renovation of the 44,000-square-foot location includes updates to nearly every area and department of the store. Once complete, upon entering the store, customers will first notice new flooring, new shelving, a new décor and paint package as well as updated energy efficient lighting throughout. In the fresh area of the store, shoppers will also be greeted with updates in the deli, bakery and seafood service areas while produce, dairy and beer departments will all receive new refrigeration cases.

The Cahokia store will also be one of the early Schnucks locations to feature electronic shelf tags which have proved popular among both customers and teammates at other Schnucks stores. In addition, the front end will receive all new checkstands as well as the addition of two more self checkouts.

“Schnucks is committed to the Cahokia area and to serving all of our shoppers’ grocery needs,” said Schnucks Cahokia Store Manager Brian Lomelino. “Our teammates are excited and anxious to bring our customers a like-new store and improved shopping experience once the renovations are complete.”

Remodel work on the store is expected to finish in early fall. Schnucks has served the Cahokia area at this location since 1986. The store currently employs 62 teammates.
