Join us on the Mezzanine for a very special night with special guest: Andy Westley - Master of Scotch. Andy is the Senior Director, Learning, Field Coaching and Development – Product Knowledge Breakthru Beverage Earlier this year, Andy Westley was recognized as a Master of Scotch by the Council of Whiskey Masters. He is one of less than 20 people in the world who has earned that distinction. He represents his family’s fifth generation in the Wine and Spirits business, and proudly tells the story of selling his first case of wine when he was 8 years old while tagging along with his grandfather on a sales call. He graduated college from Bradley University, where he helped the Bradley Speech Team win 6 of their 42 National Championships, and holds an MBA from the University of Notre Dame. During his 26 years in the wine and spirits business, Andy has held various roles in Sales Leadership, Marketing and Education. In his current role with the Breakthru Beverage Group, he is responsible for leading a team of educators who provide all the product knowledge education for Breakthru, the third largest Wine & Spirits wholesaler in the United States. In addition to the Master of Scotch, he holds beverage certifications from the Wine and Spirits Education Trust (Diploma in Wine and Level 3 Spirits), the Society of Wine Educators (Certified Specialist of Wine, Certified Specialist of Spirits), and Edinburgh Whisky Academy (Diploma in Single Malts, and Certificate in Irish Whiskey). Recently, he had an opportunity to do a guest lecture and tasting at the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York.
