Sweet and Spicy BBQ Pork Ribs
BBQ Pork Ribs with a deliciously sweet & spicy barbecue sauce made with Grandma's® Molasses.

Ingredients
- 2 racks baby back pork ribs
- 2 tsp. Kosher salt
- 2 tsp. coarse black pepper
- 1 cup water
- 2 tbsp. white wine vinegar
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1 cup ketchup
- 2 tbsp. hot sauce
- 1 tsp. paprika
- 1/2 tsp. red pepper flakes
- 3/4 cup Grandma's® Molasses
Instructions
- Combine apple cider vinegar, ketchup, Grandma's® Molasses, hot sauce, paprika, and red pepper flakes in a sauce pan.
- Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring frequently, for 10 minutes.
- Allow to cool and set aside.
- Preheat grill to 300˚F using one side of the grill. Leave the other side for indirect heat. Clean grill grates and rub with oil.
- Pat baby back ribs dry with paper towel then use another paper towel to grip and remove the silver skin from the back of the ribs, then sprinkle with salt and pepper.
- In a large disposable pan, add the water and vinegar, then place in the ribs meat side up in the pan and cover with foil.
- Place on the grill over indirect heat and cook until ribs reach 180˚- 190˚F.
- Carefully remove the ribs from the pan and place over direct heat, top side up. Discard the pan and liquid.
- Brush half the BBQ sauce from steps 1-3 over the top of the ribs and grill for 4-5 minutes.
- Brush the remaining BBQ sauce on the ribs and grill an additional 3-5 minutes or until a nice crust has formed.
- Remove ribs from the grill and place on a large cutting board, allowing to rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
Spice level can be adjusted for your taste!
For a minimally spicy sauce, omit or lower amounts of red pepper flakes and/or hot sauce. For spicier sauce, increase amount of red pepper flakes up to 1 teaspoon or hot sauce up to 4 tablespoon.
