Huli Huli Pork Steaks

Meat
- 6 pork steaks
Marinade
- 1 cup soy sauce
- 2 cups water
- 2 tsp. sesame oil
- 2 tbsp. sherry
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tsp. fresh ginger, minced
- 1 tsp. fresh ground black pepper
Basting Sauce
- 4 cups pineapple juice
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/2 cup rice vinegar
- 2 tbsp. fresh ginger, grated
- 6 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 4 tsp. sriracha sauce
Instructions
- Mix marinade ingredients and pour over pork steaks in a 13 x 9 pan. Cover and refrigerate for 2 - 6 hours, turning steaks at least once to distribute marinade.
- Mix ingredients for basting sauce in a sauce pot. Bring to a gentle boil. Boil until sauce thickens and is reduced to about two cups.
- Grill pork steaks over medium to high heat, 5-7 minutes on each side. Transfer steaks to indirect heat, basting them with basting sauce and turning them as needed. Remove steaks when they have reached 145-150 degrees.
