Homemade Waffles

You likely already have all the ingredients needed for these foolproof Homemade Waffles. Consider making them ahead of time, freezing and reheating in the oven whenever you need a quick breakfast.

Homemade Waffles


  • 1 cup Schnucks flour
  • 2 tsp. Schnucks baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 tbsp. Schnucks sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2/3 cup Schnucks low-fat milk
  • 1/4 cup Schnucks unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup Schnucks nonfat plain Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 tsp. Schnucks pure vanilla extract
  • Tropical Fruit Compote, for topping (optional)


  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder and salt. In a large bowl, whisk together remaining ingredients. Stir dry ingredients into wet ingredients until just combined (don’t overmix).
  2. Cook in a waffle iron according to manufacturer instructions. Serve immediately with desired toppings, such as Tropical Fruit Compote, syrup, powdered sugar or fruit.
