Chuck Steak with Classic Steak Rub

Ingredients

  • 4 (12 oz.) Certified Angus Beef ® chuck steaks
  • 1 1/2 tsp. coarse Kosher salt
  • 1 tsp. coarse black pepper
  • 1 tsp. dried minced garlic
  • 1 tsp. dried minced onion
  • 1/2 tsp. cracked coriander seeds
  • 1/2 tsp. red chili flakes
  • 1/2 tsp. granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp. olive oil

Instructions

  1. In a small mixing bowl, combine salt, pepper, garlic, onion, coriander, chili flakes and sugar.
  2. Brush steaks with a thin coating of oil. Season evenly with one heaping teaspoon of seasoning per steak; cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate one hour.
  3. Grill or pan sear to desired doneness (suggested 125-130°F internal temperature for medium rare). Allow steaks to rest 5 minutes, tented with foil before serving.
